Thanos

Thanos is fascinated with nihilism and death, worshiping and eventually falling in love with the physical embodiment of death, Mistress Death. He gathers the Infinity Gems and uses them to create the Infinity Gauntlet, making him nigh-omnipotent, and erases half the living things in the universe to prove his love to Death.
